We've received notices of both car break-ins and thefts in our community & in nearby communities. These have happened both during the DAY as well as as in the evening hours. Please be aware of the following:
- Always keep car doors locked, regardless of the time of day, and be sure your car trunk is closed.
- Do NOT leave valuables in your car, e.g. guns, laptops, electronics, cash, etc. whether they are visible or not!
- Keep your home’s exterior well lit.
- Townhome owners have both front porch and “dusk to dawn” security lights. Leaving the security lights turned on at all times will result in lights automatically coming on at dusk and turning off at dawn. Note: if your dusk to dawn bulbs need to be replaced or they are not working properly, please contact our Community Manager.
- Make sure your doors (front/back/garage) as well as patio/deck fences are closed and locked. Even if just out walking your dog, keep in mind that it only takes a minute for someone to pop into your home/garage/patio/deck and grab items.
- Do not leave anything of high value on your front porch, patio, or yard that could be stolen.
- If you are the victim of a car/home/garage break-in/theft, please file a police report even if nothing or little of value was taken. This allows the MNPD to have a more accurate picture of activity in our neighborhood and may assist in their prosecution of criminals when they are arrested.
- Do not hesitate to report suspicious activity by calling 911. If it is not an emergency, the non-emergency line is 615.862.8600.

The speed bumps will be drivable immediately after installation.
